Researcher Irene Colli rose to prominence for disclosing the genetic sequence of the avian flu virus. She is accused of giving the virus to pharmaceutical companies to develop a vaccine. Overwhelmed by the media hype of the journalistic investigation, Irene resigns from her position as a member of parliament and returns to work abroad before the end of the trial.
