A documentarian follows five Colombian families over the course of 14 years as they strive to move forward in a country where moving ahead does not always mean progressing. On this uneven playing field, some are born with wild cards, others with stacked decks. The film explores how one's starting point can shape destiny, without fully determining it. Through an intimate lens, it reveals the choices, frustrations, resilience, and small victories of those determined to change their path, even when the rules are not the same for everyone. Against a system that rewards some and punishes others, these families become a reflection of a country where social mobility is the real game.
