Las Locas del Obelisco (2026)
Madrid, late 19th century. The city has grown at a dizzying pace in recent decades, and thousands of young women have come to the capital seeking a way to support their families. But the path is fraught with danger, and many have fallen into networks of exploitation and white slavery. María Ana Allsopp, a young woman from high society, is deeply moved by the plight of these women forced to sell their bodies on the streets. Together with Father Francisco of Asís Méndez, she founds a new congregation: a house whose doors remain open day and night, a safe refuge for so many abandoned women. Yet threats from the outside soon loom over this determined group of women whose "madness" is to save and restore the dignity of all those who have lost it.
