Get-Rich-Quick Hall and Ford (1911)
Hall and Ford are two tramps who escape from the workhouse. In order to make good their getaway they ingeniously join a marathon race and win prizes as the winners. By other slick confidence games they soon become rich. They then buy a mansion and settle down to enjoy the fruits of their labors, but are captured by two dog-catchers, who have read of a reward for their arrest.
