Africa. The Ivory Coast. With no public health system, the ailing must find a way to pay for their medical care and treatments. A cost most cannot cover. For the mentally ill, whose illness is blamed on witchcraft, the situation is even worse: often chained to trees for years, they are left to the elements. Enter Gregoire Ahongbonon, a one-time tire repairman who now scours city and country, searching out the abandoned and abused mentally ill.
