Martyrs of Pompeii (1909)
We open on a feast for Venus in the ancient city, followed by the sale of a beautiful girl in the market place. Her lover, a gladiator, and with the assistance of a slave, determine to rescue her from the clutches of the wealthy profligate who has purchased her. After some thrilling adventures he does so, and the story thus ends happily.
