In the Great Big West (1911)

Harold Walters, a young physician, is in love with Dorothy Desmond. Harold has arranged to escort Dorothy to a ball. He is there promptly on time to do so, but he suddenly remembers that at the same hour a patient is expecting her services. He loves Dorothy, but duty is all paramount with him; he must go to his patient. The scene shifts to the west. Dorothy has gone there on a visit to relatives. The young doctor, seeking an outlet for his talents, goes west also. At the bedside of a patient, he meets his old sweetheart. That meeting is a most joyous one, indeed, for Dorothy has learned, since that one sad and bitter parting, that her sweetheart is more worthy to be loved.
