The New Prince of the Church (1912)
This film shows His Eminence, Cardinal Farley, on board the steamer "Berlin," surrounded by a coterie of church dignitaries and public men. The distinguished prelate is also seen coming down the gang-plank, arriving at the Battery and going through the crowded streets of New York. There are splendid views of the "Rosedale," the reception committee boat, Fifth Avenue and St. Patrick's Cathedral jammed with school children, the clergy and thousands of enthusiastic people. The wonderful night illumination of the Cathedral makes a fitting climax to so impressive a picture.
