His Wife's Friends (1913)
On their wedding anniversary, Mr. Carson plans to surprise his wife with theater tickets for that evening. Mrs. Carson informs her husband that it will be impossible for them to attend the theater as she has invited Mr. and Mrs. Kent to dinner. Mrs. Carson gives the tickets to Mrs. Smith, who in turn gives them to Mrs. Kent. The way in which the tickets change hands is the basis of an excruciatingly humorous comedy.
