The Merrill Murder Mystery (1913)
The evidence pointed clearly to Dan Merrill as the murderer of his uncle, at least the circumstantial evidence did. But Dan's personal friend, Detective Byrnes, could not believe him guilty. Byrnes set to work to clear the boy and. starting with the finding of a tiny diamond chip, he succeeded in fastening the crime where it belonged, after some strikingly novel adventures.
