Poker Paid (1913)
Tom Smithson is greatly in debt. His creditors besiege him at all places and corners. One day he hears a bunch of his tormentors playing poker in the reception room. Tom is some player and he conceives a bright trick. He disguises himself, sneaks down the fire-escape, slides in the back door, and joins the party. He looks like an easy mark and the card players cheerfully let him into the game. In very short order Tom has cleaned the bunch out, and as they have no more money in their pockets to play with the game is ended. Tom then goes back to his room and primping up in his best, comes down, cheerfully greeting his friends and pays all of their bills with his winnings.
