The film is adapted from the advanced deeds of Comrade Huang Dafa, the secretary of the Party branch of Caowangba Village, Bozhou District, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province. It tells the story of Comrade Huang Dafa, who has overcome difficulties and hardships for decades, led the masses to carve a "heaven canal" on the cliffs, realized the struggle to get rid of poverty and become rich, and practiced the spirit of "Foolish Old Man Shifting Mountains" in the new era with practical actions.
