A Bon-Bon Riot (1917)
Mann, the candymaker, is peacefully sleeping in the candy kitchen until a lot of taffy hanging from a hook drops and lands on his face. A freight elevator which connects with the floor on which ice cream is served attracts Mann's attention and for several moments he apparently defies the laws of gravity thereon. His assistant, lanky Lee Morris, goes to sleep on a slab and Mann absent-mindedly pours a kettle of molten candy over him. When Morris awakens he is stuck. Mann then pulls taffy and throws a loop through the elevator opening and lassos a lady customer about the ankles, pulls her into the basement and endeavors to bring her back to consciousness by turning the stream from a tank of carbonated water over her. The police interfere, but one of them is blown through the roof by the force of the tank. All Releases
