Waco Assault (2005)

In 1993, American law enforcement officials launched on of the biggest fiasco's in US legal history - to the bizarre backdrop of Nancy Sinatra's 'These Boots are Made for Walking'. It might have been funny - if 86 people hadn't died, including twenty five children. But was the Waco a legitimate operation against child-molesting gun-runners - or a heavy handed massacre of deluded innocents obsessed with the Book of Revelation? Danny Wallace has been back to Texas to talk to some of those involved - and to ask whether the Waco slaughter was really necessary.
