The Quarrel (1915)

After being married for some time, Mr. and Mrs. Jiggs have their first quarrel. Mrs. Jiggs finds a letter which she feels to be decidedly compromising, raises the dickens, then both parties discover remarkable anger-provoking possibilities in each other. Hubby pretends sickness to avoid a visit from mother-in-law and gets hold of a letter to his wife containing the suggestion that she put a little strychnine in his food. Not knowing it refers to the pet dog, he nearly has a fit. Arming himself, he sets out in search of his wife and the would-be despoiler of his home. Officer Hennessey and half the town join in the chase, which ends up with Mr. and Mrs. Jiggs being arrested, but frantic explanations prevent serious trouble.
