The Lucky One (1917)
A $500 reward is offered for a lost ring and scores join the search. The corner fakir drops his ring near each searcher, and, pretending to be unaware of the reward, sells the fake rings to them for high amounts. He trades one for a horse and buggy and wins the girl away from her sweetheart. But the latter finds the real ring and the fakir is driven out of town.
