The Flirt (1913)
Two business partners discover that the same summer girl has carried on a lively flirtation with both of them. In order to punish her for playing so carelessly with their affections, they supply their office clerk with money and have him make love to the girl while posing as a millionaire. The clerk and the girl actually fall in love with each other and his confession of his real financial condition is met by the confession on her part that she is only a shop girl. They decide to marry at once, and the surprised partners receive a telegram in answer to the last thousand dollars that they forwarded to the clerk, thanking them for supplying the money for a delightful honeymoon.
