Disillusioned (1912)

Marjorie Spofford is a young lady of the utmost culture. A tubercular tendency threatens to undermine her health completely. At this point in her career the family physician orders her aunt, with whom Marjorie lives, to take her west to a Wyoming cattle ranch, for the benefit of her health. On the ranch Marjorie is fascinated by the brawn, vigor and dare-deviltry of Mark Manley, a cowboy. Her aunt, alarmed at the progress of the love affair, telegraphs secretly to Marjorie's brother to send for her at once. Before Marjorie leaves, she exacts a promise from Mark that he will visit her in Boston. On Mark's acceptance of this daring invitation, hinges the whole story.
