The Border Line (1916)
Jeanne Dolbert is a member of a group of blackmailers. Her accomplices pick out Dick Grant, a reckless son of a wealthy family, for their victim. The girl enters his home employed as a maid and the youth succumbs to her charms. She tricks him into a rendezvous and her accomplices, posing as detectives, give him the alternative of being arrested or marrying her, expecting him to offer a large bribe. To their surprise he marries her. This proves to the girl that his love is genuine and she resolves to give up the old life and be his wife.
