Blindfolded (1915)

Arnold Blaine, a clever rogue, is captured in possession of the Crystal Butterfly, a rare piece of jewelry which he has stolen from Andrew Meridith. His capture is the result of the efforts of Milburn Warren, an amateur detective, who is in love with Bernice Meridith, daughter of Andrew. That the jewel may not be stolen again, Warren sets a trap in which a flashlight photograph will be taken of anyone rifling the secret compartment. The jewel again is stolen and the photograph shows a picture of Blaine. But Blaine is in jail. Warren is captured and dragged to a deserted house by the crooks and is rescued by police. The crooks are captured and it transpires that the thief is the twin brother of Blaine's. Warren and Bernice announce their engagement.
