A Sea Dog's Love (1913)

Slivers longed for the excitement of shore and with the captain's dollar in his pocket he sought the Widow McManus's tavern. Warmed by the mugs of ale, he proposed, only to be told that she wanted "a foin bit of a man, wan to protect me." Slivers sought to be the would-be protector, but the widow made short work of his make-believe burglar, whose ghost at the grave pointed an accusing finger at Slivers. The sea dog fled to his captain; enough excitement ashore.
