Pat, the Cowboy (1913)

Pat bids farewell to the "ould sod" and sets sail for America, where he secures work on a ranch. His eccentricities furnish a great deal of amusement for the cowboys, and Betty, the ranchman's daughter, misses no opportunity to ridicule the stranger. When the men leave for the round-up, Pat, determined to demonstrate his efficiency, mounts his pet mule and proceeds to corral all the pigs. This is the last straw and he is banished from the ranch. Betty has given her promise to the foreman, and goes to the church to await the ceremony. But the bride-groom has a thrilling experience with some desperate bandits, and fails to keep the appointment. Betty becomes tired of waiting and when Pat appears on the scene with the captured outlaws, the girl decides that her first choice was a mistake.
