The Valley of Regrets (1912)
Feeling that she is being neglected by her very young husband, Lily Easton decides to leave him. Two years later, haunted by the memory of her little girl, she returns to her husband and begs forgiveness, but he refuses to take her back and tells her to continue in the life she has chosen. Two years go by, and Mrs. Easton, now a worn old woman, obtains work as a seamstress and is sent to deliver the trousseau to little Helen, her daughter, who is to be married. Neither the husband nor daughter recognizes the decrepit little woman, and during the ceremony she steals into the drawing room to have one more glimpse of her little girl. The sight is too much for her and she drops dead.
