Vernon Howe Bailey's Sketchbook of London (1916)

This is a split reel release, the first five hundred feet containing sketches of all the points of interest in London. The drawings were made by Vernon Howe Bailey, who has gained a wide reputation in this country and abroad for this particular line of work. Mr. Bailey pictures the Tower of London where centuries ago many of the noblemen and aristocrats were executed and which is used today as a prison. He also draws the Bank of England, London Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral. Westminster Abbey, the House of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, where the King of England resides, the Thames embankment, showing the Hotels Cecil and Savoy which are so well known among Americans, Trafalgar Square, the National Museum and many other interesting views. These drawings have a great educational value as the history of the various spots is inserted in subtitles.
