Her Terrible Peril (1910)
Molly and Lawrence are basking in the sunshine and whispering sweet, never old phrases of love to each other. They are interrupted by Esther, the jovial, who pours water on Lawrence's head. All three run out to the barnyard where the girls overwhelm their father with hugs. Seeing the horses about suggests a drive to the girls and they jump into the buckboard and ride away. At various places they stop to gather flowers, first one and then the other alighting. Molly sees a pretty blossom growing on the edge of a precipice and stoops to pluck it. She loses her balance and goes over. Esther, horrified, gets down to sec where her sister is and finds her hanging on with her hands. Summoning all fortitude to her aid, Esther reaches the buckboard and drives off at a furious pace. Molly is losing strength and to stay in that position for a longer time seems beyond her endurance. Esther reaches the barnyard, tells of Molly's accident, and all follow her to the precipice. They tie their lariats together and the cowboys lower Lawrence. When Molly feels his arms about her she relaxes and faints. The boys continue to lower them to the bottom of the cliff, and then await the arrival of Lawrence with his beloved burden. He soon carries her into their midst. She revives and Lawrence is kissed by Esther and Molly, and heartily thanked by the father, while the cowboys show their appreciation by firing their guns. All Releases
