Getting His Man (1911)

Dodging in and out of the massive rocks, with pistols blazing leaden messengers of death at every opportunity, the relentless sheriff pursues his man. With spurs plunged into the horse, the man thunders down the mountain trail. A sharp turn in the road causes the noble steed to brace its strained limbs. Too late the rider is flung from the saddle, and horse and man tumble down the steep mountainside. Staggering from the bank, the wounded cashier fires his pistol. From the neighboring houses men and women, rudely disturbed from their slumbers, come forth. The story is quickly told, and the sheriff's posse starts in pursuit of the daring man who has vanished with the funds of the bank. The sheriff gets the man and the money, loses the money at faro, and the bandit gives up his life getting it back for the sheriff. In the end the sheriff has the money and the man.
