The Butler's Blunder (1918)
The butler sees the frequent visits of a man collecting clothing for relief purposes and suspects his mistress of being in love with the man. He takes it upon himself to anonymously warn her husband of his suspicions, who goes on a rampage, shooting wildly and without effect. The result is an exceedingly amusing mix-up which ends disastrously for the butler and which also convinces the husband that as a detective he is a very good business man.
