Through Troubled Waters (1915)
Handsome young mountaineer Gordon White falls in love with actress Viola Lorraine; inspired by her, he writes a play which with Viola in the lead, is a big hit. He marries Viola, but his absorption in playwriting causes them to drift apart and finally separate. By strange chance, they both take the same steamer for a Southern port, and when another steamer rams and sinks the boat, the two are cast away on a deserted island. There, after many hardships and a complete readjustment of their relations, love comes into its own and the pair finds happiness. Shortly after their baby's birth, a steamer sees their signal and rescues them from the island, which they leave with some regret. Back in civilization, Viola receives many flattering offers of theatrical engagements, but after a struggle, decides in favor of home life and her husband. All Releases
