A Melodrama of Yesterday (1912)
The story is that of a burlesque on old-time melodrama. The villain demands payment of a mortgage upon the house which shelters the persecuted heroine and her poor but honest parents. The machinations of the villain are defeated by the hero who providentially discovers a large sum of money which he digs up in a field, and arriving in the nick of time is instrumental in saving the old home and winning the girl.
