Three Scraps of Paper (1913)
Ruth is kidnapped by an unsuccessful and jealous suitor. She is taken to an old tumble-down house in an out-of-the-way section of the city. She writes a message, calling for help, on three scraps of paper and throws them out of the window. In a very remarkable manner the three pieces of paper find their way to her fiancé, who rescues her just in time to prevent her from being forcibly married to her kidnapper.
