Between Love and the Law (1912)
Fred Duval, a game warden sincerely loves Ruth Miller who lives in a ranch near his reserve. While these men presumably live through the sale of cattle, they really gain a livelihood by poaching on old national reserve shooting deer and elk out of season. The girl hears of these misdeeds and unconsciously gives the clue to her lover, who cleverly solves the secret. He saves them from the penalties of the law, by assuming the obligation himself.
