Sweedie's Hero (1915)

Sweedie gets a job as mop artist in a hotel. She starts out from home encumbered with baggage and a pet dog of uncertain ancestry. Arrived at the hotel, she is given two pails and a mop and she starts to work. The first thing she does is to mistake the train of a woman's gown for a mop and then she overturns a dining table when she is pushed into the dining room by an irate clerk. The bellhop in charge of the elevator will not let her ride, so she walks up ten flights of stairs and falls down the whole ten again. She goes out on a ledge on the sixteenth floor of the hotel to wash windows. She loses her balance and almost falls. The bellhop appears and pulls her back to safety and she falls on his neck calling him "My Hero."
