One Touch of Nature (1911)

James Mahoney's love for Helen Grochberg is the signal for opposition. Helen's father is a rabbi and James' father is of the opposite faith. Their marriage not only excludes them from recognition by their parents, but makes a great breach of friendship between Mahoney, senior, and Helen's father. James is a young lawyer and his first client brings him a case against his father. While discussing the case be receives a letter from his people who, with the exception of his father, desires him and his bride to make their home at his house. This attitude of his father prompts him to begin legal proceedings at once. He wins. His father is furious, but soon is reconciled to what should be. Mr. Mahoney and Mr. Grochberg, who had been on unfriendly terms, chance to meet each other at the home of the newly married people one day, where they saw their little grandchild. The little one was the cause of renewing their friendship.
