Love story of the Soviet officer and Polish girl in days of war. The battalion where Mikhail and Victor serve, settles down on rest in the Polish village. Friends meet the daughter of the room hostess. Mikhail at first sight falls in love with Zosya, however it seems to him that she likes Victor.
