A Member of the Firing Squad (1969)
The action takes place in Greece after the 1967 military coup. Soldier Vangelis receives a leave of absence out of turn. But this day, received for participating in the execution of a communist, he does not know what to do with it. Fleeing a patrol after a street fight, Vangelis takes refuge with his girlfriend. Their meeting is full of bitterness, the confession of a punitive soldier is painful. In the morning, the hero will give himself the opportunity to be arrested, but he will not be submissive as he was yesterday.
