Maruzzella is in love with Salvatore but Salvatore is infatuated with Donna Carmela who is the step-mother of Maruzzella. Besides, Carmela deprived Maruzzella of her inheritance. When Salvatore asks Renato, an old school-mate of his, to stay with him, the situation is slowly resolved.
