The Sheriff of Yavapai County (1913)

Big "Bud" O'Neill, the sheriff of Yavapai County, is in love with Nellie Bowen, daughter of a wealthy rancher. This individual is short on gambling, and is regarded as easy or a "come on" by the sporting fraternity. This foolish old fellow, flushed with fuel oil is in the back room of the Spread Eagle, being systematically fleeced by a precious pair, when he is discovered by the sheriff. He forces the gamblers to refund. But they are sore and soon manage to again trap Bowen and hold him up getting back their own money with compound interest. The sheriff again intervenes; shooting commences, but the gamblers get away. But the daring and persistent officer follows them to their mountain roost and after a desperate hand-to-hand encounter brings them back to justice.
