La Belle Dame Sans Merci

In medieval France, the protagonist is a student who stands out from others because he writes poetry and is very religious. He and a group of friends invade and destroy a public bathhouse, which they see as a place of vice. One night, he is attacked and ends up killing one of his attackers, forcing him to flee. He eventually finds himself in a fairy tale kingdom, where the Queen falls in love with him. The two discuss their love, and the poet sometimes sees Death as an oriental beauty instead of the Queen.
