'Spider-Man' Reels in $10 Million on Tuesday

The blistering pace of Spider-Man continues. Though not a record for the day, Spider-Man snared $9,961,854 on Tuesday, down a modest 9.7% from Monday.After just five days, the Marvel Comics adaptation's total climbed to $135,840,755. In the process, it shot up 21 spots on the all time chart to No. 123, just ahead of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' $135,265,915.

At this rate, Spidey's well on his way to spinning yet another record: Fastest to $200 Million. That's a feat he should likely pull off by day 10.

The current title holder is Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, which did it in 13 days. On its first Tuesday, it slipped 24.8% from Monday to $8,181,275 for a seven-day total of $124,723,784. The second fastest to $200 million (15 days), Harry Potter, conjured up $7,653,569 on its first Tuesday for $104,590,892 after five days.
