Q. What is the most playdates a studio has had on a single weekend?

Warner Bros. set a new record for the most playdates booked by a single studio at one time for the weekend of Aug. 5, 2005. Six movies from Warner Bros. and sub-division, Warner Independent Pictures, amassed 13,342 playdates, topping the previous high of 11,580 that Sony posted on Aug. 9, 2002. Warner Bros.' mega-wide weekend was fueled in part by the debut of The Dukes of Hazzard at 3,785 theaters and the expansion of March of the Penguins to 1,867 theaters.
