Irwin Allen's 1972 production, The Poseidon Adventure, and director Wolfgang Petersen's current release, Poseidon, both depict a story of ten passengers struggling to survive after an ocean liner is capsized. While there are several variations, key similarities remain. A comparison of the two versions highlights the changes.
