COMPARISONS: Goo Goo Dolls enjoyed their biggest first week to date, besting 1998's "Dizzy Up the Girl" which bowed at No. 17 on sales of 65,000. Neil Young's last album, 2000's "Silver & Gold" started with 55,000 and has sold 364,000 copies to date, but "Are You Passionate?" marks his highest chart entry since 1995's Pearl Jam collaboration "Mirror Ball," which debuted at No. 5 on sales of 98,000 units. Bonnie Raitt's latest sold slightly less than her last, 1998's "Fundamental," which kicked off with 57,000 but never climbed higher than No. 17.

Platinum = Certification of one million units shipped. Gold =500,000 units shipped.
