COMPARISONS: The ninth installment of the NOW! franchise posted the lowest first week sales since Vol. 4, which sold 320,000 copies out of the gate in 2000. Vol. 8 bowed with 548,900, while Vol. 7 holds the series' strongest start at 621,425. Separately, the last albums of Jay-Z ("The Blueprint") and R. Kelly ("TP-2.com") each debuted at No. 1 on sales of 427,000 and 543,000 respectively. Jimmy Buffett's latest falls short of the 100,000 copies his last album "Beach House on the Moon" sold in its first week.

SECOND-WEEK SLUMP: B2K's eponymous debut slides 10 spots to No. 12 on a sales loss of 42% to 63,000 units. The disc's two-week total stands at around 172,000.

MILESTONES: Elton John's "Songs from the West Coast," the one featuring the much-hyped video with Robert Downey, Jr., finally passed the 500,000 sales mark, reappearing in the top 200 at No. 181.
